OZ Bocce set to start!

Spring is rapidly approaching and so is the start of the social Bocce calendar, now nationally re branded as “OZ Bocce”.

The 2013-2014 season begins Thursday 11th October at 6pm. This will be the sixth consecutive year the OZ Bocce (previously known as Social Bocce) will be run in Hobart.

Oz Bocce Hobart is played at the Glenorchy RSL Bocce Club, which is also the home ground for The Tasmanian Special Olympic athletes who play there on a regular basis through out the season.

The Glenorchy RSL Bocce Club is planning a social “OZ Bocce” away game trip to Sheffield, where new Bocce courts have just been built. This trip will be a good opportunity to help the Sheffield Bocce team out with establishing their club and a great opportunity to visit a lovely part of the State, with all welcome.

Come try Bocce, enjoy meeting new people & have a go at doing some thing new, it’s great for all ages & family friendly.

There is a free barbecue or speciality meal every week thanks to one of our major sponsors “The Italian Pantry” so everyone can play Bocce, enjoy a bite to eat and a refreshment.

Another of our major sponsor, the “BP on the Brooker Highway”, provides gift vouchers as prizes that are presented at our end of season dinner to the top three players on the leader board.

The season ends at the end of March.
