The Friends of Jackeys Marsh Inc. are extremely excited to
announce the upcoming Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival
– to be held between the 24th and 27th of January 2014.

Nicky Bomba is headlining this festival!

Bomba has recently won the ARIA award for “Engineer of the
Year” and has followed this with sell out concerts across the
nation. His new album has already hit number 5 in the ARIA’s
official Jazz Albums Chart and he has been nominated for the
Music Victoria Award for AWME Best Global or Reggae Act.

The festival is also featuring Tasmania’s own Pete Cornelius
and the DeVilles, Dublo, The Lawless Quartet and Guthrie.

Stacks of interstate and local bands have been announced on the festival website which
was officially launched this week, while many more exciting announcements are set to
follow in the coming weeks.

This festival has a history of selling out and this year is sure to follow suit.

Tickets are strictly limited to 1000 and went on sale through our website on Monday.

Early Bird Tickets are available for a short time only, once they are gone ticket prices will
rise – so get in early.

The Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival has been running since 1983 and is a biennial music,
arts and sustainable living event held in the beautiful valley of Jackeys Marsh, nestled
below the Great Western Tiers, close to Deloraine in Tasmania. This year the festival is
being held over a long weekend – which means there will be a whole day and night of
extra entertainment!

After more than 30 years of campaigning to protect it’s forests this festival is also
celebrating the World Heritage Deceleration of the Great Western Tiers.

“This is a family friendly festival with four days of workshops, kids activities, guided walks
and three nights of music from a large mix of genres, including beautiful folk, reggae,
blues, jazz, funk and soul bands plus totally rocking music that will get you up and dancing
late into the night.” – Bridget Nicklason-King, Producer.
