We are on an insane and irreversible path to environmental destruction 4

With Abbott in full swing, reversing the carbon tax, making way for open slather in the Tasmanian forests, closing down any progress on renewable energy and, as I heard this morning, supporting Campbell Newman in his bid to open up vast new areas for coal mining, I fear we are on an insane and irreversible path to environmental destruction.

What of jobs then?

As a regenerative farmer, practicing biological farming for twelve years I hope that the following link can be promoted to inform as many people as possible.

I have now eliminated all chemicals on my property with the result that the mineral balance of the soil has improved to an almost completely sustainable level, plants and animals are healthy but moreover there has been a build up in the organic matter (humus) in the soils from less than 5% to between 13.9% and 18%. (Evidence of this is shown on regular soil tests.)

Although I farm only 120 acres this kind of farming practice can and does work equally as well on larger properties.

In this madness that is Abbott and Co. the message in this video might offer some small hope.

At times it appears a vain hope as fighting against the coal and gas companies and now the overwhelming ignorance of the public already seems a losing battle.

The obstacles in promoting regenerative farming, although it is gaining credence in some small pockets of intelligent awareness, are the vast opposition to this by those who are convinced that chemical based farming and big agri-business is the way to go.

The public, including farmers, have been brainwashed by big companies so what makes sense and works is totally lost in the noise of publicity and promises of goodies.
