Sea Shepherd Australia
July 4, 2013 – SYDNEY, Australia — Award-winning, independent author and journalist,
Will Potter, will be speaking for the first time in Sydney this August.

Will’s work, in particular his book Green Is The New Red: An Insider’s Account of a Social
Movement Under Siege, has brought the world’s attention to the U.S. government’s post-911
repression of environmental and animal rights activists, also known as the Green Scare.
Will’s reporting and commentary have appeared in media outlets including Rolling Stone,
Mother Jones, The Los Angeles Times, The Vermont Law Review, and The Washington
Post. He has testified before the U.S. Congress about his reporting, as the only witness
opposing the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. He has lectured at more than 100 universities
and public forums internationally about his work, including Georgetown University, the New
York City Bar Association, and the House of Democracy and Human Rights in Berlin.

Will Potter will also be holding speaking events in Melbourne on Thursday August 1, and in
Hobart on Sunday August 5.

Will Potter’s Australian speaking tour supported by Kindness Trust, and his Sydney
