Slow Food Hobart is very excited about our new partnership with TasTAFE’s – Drysdale House.
This year our AGM & Dinner event will form part of the Drysdale student’s assessment for food service and cookery. For the evening Drysdale hospitality students will be the front of house service and Asher Gilding, our accomplished and innovative chef will mentor Drysdale House cookery students.
Our dinner themed on Tasmania’s Ark of Taste products will follow the Slow Food Hobart Annual General Meeting on Sunday 28th July. Expect to enjoy some intriguing flavours and ingredients like; Mt Gnomon Wessex Saddleback, pear cider, leatherwood honey, mountain pepper, quinoa and eucalyptus ice-cream – we’ve attached the menu just to whet your appetite!
This beautiful menu has been thoughtfully put together by Asher (former chef at Vulcan in the Blue Mountains) and his partner Jacinta, both of Pantree Produce, with edible table decorations and produce sourced from Paulette Whitney of Provenance Growers. Guest speakers: Albuera Street Primary’s Grow and Gobble program team and Dr Alice Percy, CEO of SPROUT.
