Force fed poultry for foie gras 4

Ever eaten foie gras?

I would hope that after you read this you will never do so again.

According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, thousands of ducks and geese are forced fed with metal tubes rammed down their throats 2 or 3 times a day until their livers are grossly enlarged up to ten times their normal size.

They are kept in metal cages so small they cannot open their wings or turn around or even preen.

After enduring this torture chamber they are then trucked to slaughterhouses where they either have their throats cut or even worse are scalded to death in defeathering tanks.
