Bob Gordon quits

Posted on

The managing director of Forestry Tasmania, Bob Gordon (above), has resigned.

In a statement, Mr Gordon says he reached a “mutual agreement” with the board that now is an appropriate time to move on.

“I have been proud for the past six years to lead what I believe is an outstanding organisation through some very difficult times,” he said.

“However, I have reached agreement with the Board that now is the right time for a change.

“My departure will allow the board to select a long-term leader that can take the organisation forward into what I believe is a challenging but exciting future.

Mr Gordon will officially leave the post in early July and in the meantime will take leave to attend to Forestry Tasmania business overseas.

Mr Gordon was first appointed managing director in 2007.
