Tasdance lights up Ten Days on the Island with Luminous Flux

Posted on

Luminous Flux, a sensational double-bill by Tasmania’s premier dance company, Tasdance, is featured as part of Ten Days on the Island in March 2013 in Launceston, Devonport, and Hobart.

In what guarantees to be an entertaining evening, Tasdance brings together two of Australia’s shining lights of contemporary dance; Tanja Liedtke’s Enter Twilight and the world premiere of Byron Perry’s Light Entertainment.

Tanja Liedtke was appointed successor to Graeme Murphy as Artistic Director of Sydney Dance Company in 2007 before she was tragically killed in a traffic accident prior to assuming the post.

Byron Perry, a luminary figure in Australian dance has recently been appointed as Associate Director of Force Majeure, a significant dance theatre company based in Sydney.

Luminous Flux, a quirky performance suitable for the whole family showcases some of the best Australian dancers performing some of the best of Australian dance, right here in Tasmania.

You’ll laugh, you’ll be intrigued, and most of all you’ll be entertained by Luminous Flux.

Following the Tasmanian season, Tasdance will head inter-state to perform Luminous Flux at Riverside Theatre in Parramatta, NSW.
