I know this sounds impossible, but I was driving from Melbourne to Shepparton a couple of weeks ago and I saw an animal that I’ve never seen before on the side of the Hume Freeway somewhere between Wallan and Broadford.
At first I thought it was a fox, but it was a bit bigger.
The three things I distinctly noticed were:
1. The tail was like a whip (no hair or bush);
2. There was some white markings on the side;
3. The head seemed to taper to a point at the nose.
I know my animals pretty well and have been wracking my brain as to what it could have been.
But the Tasmanian Tiger is the closest thing I can come up with …
