The Hag, known for her Green Fairy Absinthe addiction, happened to stagger into the local watering hole of News Ltd journos in Sydney last night and in the course of a long carouse and a not inconsiderable imbibement of that mysterious embrocation, learnt some fascinating news.
To wit, Rupe’s News Ltd Mercury Hobart southern outpost already has contingency plans to reduce Mercury publication to three days a week in these straightened circumstances brought on by the wondrous Net revolution.
The days, according to Hag’s slurring informant being, oddly, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday.
Of course all this could be the extravagant embellishments of too much Christmas ale, but for what it is worth, the rumour is now out there … denials please …
