The Australian Greens today expressed great sadness at the loss of another young Australian soldier’s life in Afghanistan.

“We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of this soldier,” Australian Greens Leader, Senator Christine Milne, said today.

“Our thoughts are also with the families and friends of those soldiers still serving in Afghanistan.

“39 Australian soldiers have now been killed while serving in Afghanistan and the Greens once again urge the Government to bring our troops home as swiftly and safely as possible.”
