Hello everyone,
Some of you will know that I’ve been involved in supporting World Party, a not-for-profit event that aims to support cultural diversity in Tasmania. So far two events have been held, one in 2010 and the second earlier this year (2012).
My support consisted of photographing the events and, this year, also producing a book and a calendar which can be purchased with the profits going to the Migrant Resource Centre in Hobart. The MRC helps migrants and refugees to settle in Tasmania. It does a great job on a small budget and is well worth supporting.
World Party 2012 showcases too many acts to name here, but include Hellenic Children Dancers, Jamaican DJs, Ethiopian dancers, Korean drummers, a traditional Chinese Lion Dance and much, much more. Have a look at the previews online (see links below) – it was a spectacular event!
The book and calendar can only be purchased online through Momento ( http://www.momentoshop.com.au/ , go to their ‘Fundraising’ category; there is also a direct link to both products below). They are kindly supporting our fundraising effort by keeping the cost low. The small margin on the book ($10) and the calendar ($8) will go to the MRC.
The book is available to order online in two sizes, small (210×148) for $60 and regular (297×210) for $80. Both are hardcover editions printed on beautiful satin-finish paper. A premium edition, with prestige 300gsm paper stock, is also available to order through me in the same sizes as well as the ‘Grand’ size (420×297).
The calendar runs from July 2012-December 2013 so can be ordered now to keep the next 18 months on track! It comes in regular (203×287) for $20 and jumbo (270×383) for $24.
