Fullers Bookshop Hobart is excited to announce they will be hosting Stephanie Alexander in store on Wednesday, April 4th at 5.30pm.

She is visiting Tasmania to promote her memoir A Cook’s Life which tells the story of one woman’s unrelenting quest for good food to be made accessible to all –and she will discuss her acheivements, trials and tribulations at the event.

Stephanie opened her first restaurant in Melbourne, Jamaican House in 1964 and then went on to run the eponymous Stephanie’s for 21 years.

She has written many books about cooking and in 2001 she launched the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program which since then has been implemented around the country.

The Program is about teaching children, from an early age, about food – though examples and positive experience.

Tickets are now available from Fullers Bookshop. There are two types of tickets available; a VIP ticket for $45 which includes a copy of A Cook’s Life and a Fullers goody bag or $12 which includes $5 off the price of A Cook’s Life on the night.
