Fullers Bookshop: Award winning children’s author Sonya Hartnett ‘in conversation’ Tuesday, April 3, 5.30pm
Winner of the world’s richest prize for children’s literature, the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, Sonya Hartnett will be in conversation with Lian Tanner at Fullers Bookshop on Tuesday, April 3, 5.30pm.
Hartnett is in the company of Philip Pullman, Shaun Tan and Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) in winning the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
While Hartnett is primarily known for her children’s books her book for adults, Landscape with Animals was published to some controversy as it featured graphic sex scenes.
Lian Tanner, a Tasmania based author has recently received international acclaim for her Keepers Trilogy for primary aged children.
The conversation will include discussion about Hartnett’s new work The Children of the King and will be suitable for readers of Hartnett; young, old and in between as well as all those interested in the craft of writing.
All are welcome to attend this free event.
