Ah… No!
My estimate from a distance outside the security fence, the logs on Macquarie Wharf are prime Cat 1 Old Growth eucalypt sawlog.
My guess is they are from a stockpile that has been well watered with sprinklers to keep them in prime condition.
The logs are of the dimensions that local Crown sawmillers should be asking: Why is prime resource such as this deemed to be exported? Don’t tell me that these sawlogs are to be sawn overseas?
Export chipwood I can understand but not export sawlog.
Ah no!
