Tassie Store, Tasmania’s answer to eBay, will be opening for business on Friday 24 February 2012.
Tassie Store is focused on value-adding for Tasmania by promoting the state and selling quality products that are made, grown or created here.
Regardless of where the supplier is based, Tasmanian businesses and social enterprises will have access to national and international markets. So far, we have had suppliers list their products from places as diverse as Marrawah in the north-west to Bruny Island in the south.
As an online department store, Tassie Store will have a broad range of products. We have listed products such as beautiful glass art and books about Tasmania. Other categories we’d like to include for the launch include clothing, music and Tasmanian magazine subscriptions.
Tassie Store has recently added two new product categories – Accomodation Vouchers and Experience Vouchers.
New suppliers are welcome to apply to list on Tassie Store by emailing [email protected]. It doesn’t matter if you already have a website – Tassie Store is an additional channel to promote your brand and sell your products.
