ABC Northern Tasmania announces the 2012 lineup

ABC Local Content Manager Jocelyn Nettlefold announced two changes to the ABC Northern Tasmania lineup for 2012. Penny Terry will lead a statewide Afternoons program and Michael Veitch will host the Evenings timeslot.

Our big news for the coming year is that we will present a dynamic new Statewide Afternoons program lead by Penny Terry with a team of talented content makers in Launceston, Burnie and Hobart.

The program is all about Tasmania and those who live, work and play here. It will traverse the state uncovering the stories, communities, characters and events that make life here so interesting.

Joining Penny will be producer Andrea O’Connor in Launceston; Elaine Harris, in Burnie, will undertake specialist interviews and features from the North West, and Hobart-based Jo Spargo is looking forward to producing and presenting outside broadcasts from the south of the state.

Guess who’s coming to dinner? Man about town Michael Veitch!

Man- about-town and accomplished raconteur, Michael Veitch will host the Evenings slot. With his comedic wit, his love of the absurd and his background across the national arts and entertainment scene, it’ll be like spending time with your perfect dinner party guest.

Annie Warburton is looking forward to moving into production with the opportunity to expand her love of writing for radio and online.

And the Drive presenter for ABC Northern Tasmania will be …..?
