The Elanée Ensemble, a double bass/viola duo, returns to the LGH chapel. They first played here in 2010 and loved the stillness of this beautiful space and the opportunity to bring music here. They are particularly hoping to see LGH patients who will be admitted free.
The program includes Bartok, an incredibly virtuosic work by Beethoven (you’ve never seen fingers move so fast on a double bass!). As well, there is a beautiful sonata by Telemann and a fantastic piece by Tasmanian composer Don Kay. This is thefirst time that this beautiful work has been played in northern Tasmania.
