A WORM in the APPLE
A WORM in the APPLE
by David Leigh
State Cinema, 375 Elizabeth Street, North Hobart
Monday 29th November
8.30pm
$20
Featuring Peter Cundall, Christine Milne and Bob McMahon, it tells the controversial story, State and Federal Governments want kept quiet.
David Leigh’s one-hour documentary highlights the people’s struggle for democracy in Tasmania.
Kim Booth, Geoffrey Cousins and Dr Alison Bleaney also tell the story from their perspectives.
This hour of graphic and sensational vision will make you angry and make you sad, but give you the truth about Tasmania’s forest scandal.
Speakers at the event are Roland Browne (lawyer for Pulp the Mill) and Andrew Wilkie, Independent Member for Denison who will give more details on the issues we still face. With the advent of the Tasmanian Integrity Commission this month, Tasmanians hope the processes by which this project was approved will now be reviewed so our voices can be heard.
This event is a fundraiser for Pulp the Mill in their fight against corruption and to stop the pulp mill. Please come along to support those who are standing up for Tasmanians’ rights, and to be informed.
