TAP has no intention of meeting with Frances Duffy
The membership of TAP fully agrees with the Pulp the Mill group ( On TT HERE )that there is nothing to be gained by talking to Frances Duffy, the PR spokesperson for Gunns Ltd.
Ms Duffy stated at the FSC meeting in Launceston that Gunns has no intention of resubmitting their proposal for proper assessment. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approval that Gunns seeks is nothing but a chimera of smoke and mirrors.
Gunns has had six years to engage with community groups and their weak efforts now seem little more than a public relations stunt with Ms Duffy as their mouthpiece.
We all know that a corrupted government pulp mill assessment delivered a toxic lemon. Gunns must axe it now or resubmit the pulp mill proposal including its wood supply to the planning system for a thorough, complete and independent assessment at Gunns’ expense.
