Archer pips Wilkie 4

Liberal Elise Archer has pipped Independent Andrew Wilkie for the fifth seat in Denison by 315 votes; giving the Libs an equal 10 seats to Labor.

The final seat to be decided is Braddon where Green Paul O’Halloran is tipped to beat incumbent Lib Brett Whiteley to the fifth seat.

Final make-up, likely known Wednesday, latest Thursday, is therefore likely 10 Labor, 10 Liberal, 5 Green,

The Liberals have 39 per cent of the state-wide primary vote, to Labor’s 37 per cent. Bartlett has stated that in the event of Labor having the same number of seats as the Liberals, the party with the most votes should be the party to govern.
