Summer Music in Tolosa Park
Sunday 28th February
From 11:30am to 3:30pm
FREE
The popular Summer Music in Tolosa Park series finishes this Sunday with a great four hour program of country music in the Tolosa Park soundshell.
The program brought to you by country music clubs from across southern Tasmania will see four bands and 32 artists featured.
The event includes members of the Derwent Valley Country Music Club as well as the Country Gold Music Club; The Country Music Club of Southern Tasmania; and Bridgewater and Friends Country Music Club.
“It’s a great chance for club members from all four participating clubs to come together and perform to a wider audience” says the event MC and one of the event organizers, Mr Wayne Crossin.
“Its a terrific opportunity for people who are interested in or play Country Music to find out what clubs in their area are doing and how people can get involved.”
The annual event, now in its seventh year is organized by the major regional country music clubs, with the assistance of Glenorchy City Council.
Scores of members from country music clubs, as well as the general public, are expected to attend. The event is presented free and will include a sausage sizzle organised by participating clubs.
Information on country music clubs and activities throughout southern Tasmania will be available. Patrons are asked to bring a picnic blanket or fold out chair and patrons are welcome to pack a picnic for the occasion. The site provides plenty of on site carparking or a free shuttle bus will be running from the Terry St Carpark at the back of Glenorchy Council from 11:15am.
