Post Year 10 stopwork meetings

Posted on

All AEU members in the Post Year 10 sectors of the union are asked to attend stop work meetings next week

The Secondary Colleges Committee of Management (SCCOM) and the TAFE Division of the AEU have organized Regional Stop Work meetings protesting against Tasmania Tomorrow. They will be held in the South, North West and North next week.

The dates and times of the meetings are:

SOUTH Wednesday 24th February 2010 at 1.30pm Scots Uniting Church Hall, Bathurst Street Hobart

NORTH WEST Thursday 25th February 2010 at 1.30pm Venue to be announced this Friday

NORTH Friday 26th February 2010 at 1.30pm Venue to be announced this Friday

You are asked to attend these meetings to put your voice behind our campaign to Save Our Colleges and Bring Back TAFE.

There is now a clear choice for voters heading into the next election. The job for us is to get our message out into the community so that it resonates loud and long.

Your campus should have a campaign committee organized and beginning to go to work. There will be banners for you and your friends to hold up morning and afternoons along the main arterial roads around the state. There will be brochures for you and your friends to letter box in each of the 5 electorates.

Keep your eye out for the DAY OF ACTION culminating in a march on Parliament House in Hobart during the last week before election day. The plan at this stage is to bus members from across Tasmania to Hobart for this big event.
