Lucy …
Lucy, A beautifully articulated article revealing a depth of feeling for our valley (and the wider world we share) rarely voiced or heard. It reveals what drives, and steels a person to engage in civil disobedience – an action which takes courage and commitment few are able to muster.
Your observation that words are no longer enough is self-evident : actions will always speak louder in these particular circumstances – and your considered, peaceful actions have captured the attention of people around the nation. Just what the forces of repression in this State did not want!
When the definitive history of this whole unfortunate pulp-mill saga is written, some names will be honoured (above others) for their courage, commitment and leadership in opposing the mill. I would expect the name Lucy Landon-Lane to be prominent among those, right up there with Peter Cundall, et al.
You are an inspiration to us all. May the force continue with you …
