TASKFORCE WARS ROSEBERY RESIDETS
The Toxic Heavy Metals Taskforce Tasmania has recently delivered to residents of
Rosebery a pamphlet titled Reducing Your Exposure to Heavy Metals in Rosebery. In
addition they have distributed a pamphlet from the national organisation The LEAD
Group which provides information on heavy metal testing.
These pamphlets have been produced as a direct result of the failure of the Department
of Health and Human Services and the West Coast Council to provide information to all
residents of Rosebery about the necessary recommendations on reducing health risks
which were contained in their own Final Report into heavy metal contamination in
Rosebery.
Since the release of the Final Report in April 2009 several Rosebery residents have been
diagnosed with heavy metal poisoning. Medical Reports have been sent to their
lawyers and legal advice is pending.
The Rosebery community have a right to know about the serious health risks of
living in Rosebery.
The pamphlets will be released to the Media today at 10am.
