Kelly Doust, author/creator of Crafty Minx at Fullers Bookshop, 4pm Friday 27th November for a workshop.

Kelly Doust, the author and creator of The Crafty Minx, Creative Recycling and Handmade Treasures, will be at Fullers Bookshop to conduct a workshop this Friday afternoon at 4pm.

Kelly, whose crafts cover everything from scarves to teepees, obi belts and nappy bags, will conduct a workshop specifically about recycling fabric though will take questions about all her crafts.

In the craft movement, which is currently undergoing a huge resurgence, this form of recycling to make beautiful things is especially pertinent as we heave ourselves out of the ‘GFC’.

Kelly has been scouring flea markets and op shops for recycled fashion and homewears since her early teens is an expert in this area.

She is also a regularly contributor to Vogue Magazine and has written for Dazed and Confused and The South China Morning Post’s Lifestyle section.

She has also had her short stories published in a number of collections.

Everyone is welcome to attend and there are no prerequisite skills required.
