Saturday, November 7, 10.00am

Rosemary Mastnak, children’s author and illustrator will be at Fullers Bookshop to celebrate the release of her new picture book Cooking With Grandma at 10.00am on Saturday, November 7.

Rosemary Mastnak is an award winning picture book illustrator and she will be cooking a popcorn-y feast and reading from her new book Cooking With Grandma.

This event is a Fullers Ferrets event. Fullers Ferrets is a free book group for kids, teenagers and all the young dudes and hosts events such as the Popcorn Picnic, Grug and Olivia, the dancing pig.

Ferrets is an exciting new initiative for Hobart youngsters and is organised into three groups, early childhood, primary school and high school and has events targeted to these age groups. The Popcorn Picnic is for both the early childhood and primary school groups.

Miss Cackle, aka Kate Gordon, children’s book expert, Young Adult author and coordinator of the Ferrets believes this club to be unique in Hobart, if not Tasmania.

“The state library has a wonderful summer program, but I think this is the only reading community for young people in Hobart,” she said.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
