Florentine Protection Society: Day in the Forest.
Walk & Picnic Day in the Upper Florentine, Sunday 29th Nov 11am.
Meet at Timbs Track on the Gordon River Road, on the way to Lake Pedder. 21km past Maydena.

Timbs Track to the Lookout and beyond. 3 to 4 hours return with plenty of stops, but you can do as little or as much as you want – quite a short distance along the track you branch off and are in stunning lush mossy forest. Track condition is fairly good for the average walker. A walk has been marked past the lookout which is karst country in an informal reserve. The area is filled with sink holes, caves and interesting forest.
Bring friends and car pool. Children welcome. BYO picnic lunch, water, wet weather gear, stout walking shoes, hats, sun screen, cameras, binoculars etc.
We will have designated first aid people, a satellite phone and an EPIRB.
