Where’s the money coming from, Mr Aird?
The Treasurer must immediately tell Tasmanians where the funds for today’s tourism announcement are coming from.
With most of this money from today’s announcement to be spent in the lead-up to March’s state election, many Tasmanians will be cynical about the motivations for today’s announcement, and Labor’s claims to economic management.
Either:
1) Existing programs are being cut. If so, which ones?
2) Today’s announcement will take Tasmania further into the red; or,
3) The funds are coming as a result of increased revenue. In this case, the Treasurer must immediately tell Tasmanians what the extent of this increased revenue is.
An answer please, Mr Aird.
