TAP to counter the pretend Team Bartlett Community Forum inside Port Dalrymple School

Posted on

WHERE: Port Dalrymple School at the corner of Cimitiere and Agnes St Georgetown.
WHEN: Sunday October 25th beginning at 11.30 am with creative drumming and other spontaneous music. Speakers begin at approximately 12 noon.

“As at Beaconsfield, TAP is providing the opportunity for the expression of real democracy in Georgetown,” said TAP spokesperson Bob McMahon.

“Residents of Georgetown and Low Head are unhappy about the prospect of beaches being polluted by pulp mill effluent, beaches used by their children.

“Further up the east Tamar there is much anxiety about air pollution from the proposed pulp mill,” continued McMahon.

“And then there is the ever-present stench of corruption surrounding the fast track approval process.”

“There will be plenty of passion at Georgetown,” he concluded.

Following the keynote talk by Dr. Andreas Ernst, 2 minute speakers will be invited to mount the soapbox to express their concerns.
