Dear Editor
I thought the purpose of an Emissions Trading Scheme was to decrease the public’s and industries pollution of the environment. Surely compensating these industries for the introduction of an Emissions Trading Scheme is counter to this idea. Surely if we want to encourage them to change we need to show that by changing they will receive economic benefits.
Why are the Labor and Liberal Federal parties arguing about what industries should and should not be compensated. Surely we should be encouraging industries to change production techniques so as to save our beautiful world.
