RETENTION: What happened in 2005?
And whilst it is full with congratulatory self praise I was struck by a graph on page six …
“Apparent Retention from Year 7/8 to Year 12”.
“What happened in 2005?”
There was Tasmania with better retention than Australia from 1998 to 2004 and it was just getting better. Then along come 2005.
Unfortunately retention figures have now been so highly spun that we would need the Auditor General to work out the true retention rate.
Considering all eyes will be on the retention rate in the new academy and polytechnic perhaps that needs to happen.
