Questions David Bartlett needs to answer at the National Press Club today
When the Premier boasts at the National Press Club today of the “miracle” Tasmanian economy which is allegedly all his good work, he must answer the following questions:
What specific policy action has the Tasmanian Government taken which had any bearing on Tasmania’s economic performance during the global recession?
Is it a fact that Tasmania’s current economic circumstances are the result of a strong national economy in past years and Kevin Rudd’s recent cash-splash?
After 11 years of Labor, why are our hospital waiting lists longer than ever?
After 11 years of Labor, why are our education standards falling?
Why are our most vulnerable being slugged with higher electricity prices?
Why is Labor making Tasmanians pay for their bungled water and sewerage changes?
These are the real questions that should be addressed in the Canberra speech today.
