Either Aird is confused – or he is deliberately misleading

Either the Treasurer is confused and doesn’t understand his own report, or he is seeking to deliberately mislead the people of Tasmania.

Page 18 of the Economic Regulator’s Final Report “Report of the Inquiry to Inform the Development of an Interim Pricing Order for the Tasmanian Water and Sewerage Sector” (November 2008) clearly states the massive price increases – some by more than 100 percent – that Tasmanians will face under Labor’s bungled water and sewerage changes.

We make absolutely no apologies for telling Tasmanians the true costs they are now facing under Labor’s bungled changes.

Unlike Labor, we aren’t trying to keep these real facts secret.

Labor has spent $90,000 of taxpayer’s money on propaganda for their bungled changes, but they refuse to tell the Tasmanian people the truth.

If they won’t, we will – and we’re prepared to use our own money to do it, not taxpayers’ money.
