Welcome to new Tasmanian Times

Posted on

Today’s Monday Big Edition is the first on revamped Tasmanian Times. The first two major articles feature a retrospective and an analysis. Both on issues more debilitating – some say boring and one-dimensional – than any other in recent Tasmanian history: Gunns pulp mill and the state of politics. Why? Why not break free and give TT readers something fresh and new as principle reads? Impossible. The pulp mill and political health are the only games in town. The rest is sideshow, because unless the issue of the forests is resolved, unless politics is examined and cleansed, how can Tasmania move on?

But there’s heaps more to read and view on new-look TT … from climate change to an old Hack’s satirical memoirs. New-look TT is possible because of TT readers’ extroardinary support – with individual donations of $5 to $2,500. Thank you. And thank you to the design team led by Alecia and Andrew (links at the bottom of the page). You can learn more about using this site (and the Strathlynn dinner): Here and Here
