Spiralling water charges are likely to rise by more than the projected 10% pa as the pricing policy will be reviewed in April 2010 – 1 month after the State election!
So get ready for post election hikes and continuing unresponsiveness from corporations that are accountable to no-one but Treasury.
It is not too late to restore the democratic control when Councils practiced cost recovery and elected representatives were accountable for ratepayer assets.
