“Just overheard in a Moonah cafe, Pat Russel (he of 7HO newsroom fame), describing how he had just resigned over a grading issue, and how “it didn’t matter if he didn’t know how to send a picture with an email message, it was just what came out of the speaker that counted.”
“I agree, cheers to you Pat, you’ve been the news voice of 7HO at least since I “made the big switch” from HT when Radar was something the Navy used, and Cooke & Moore, Knocka and Whimmo ruled the brekky slot.
“Here’s hoping this doesn’t mean the all too familiar slide to nationally syndicated news, where they talk about dust storms in Sydney while the Hobart Rivulet’s turned the Myer site into a lake.”
