Pembroke debate details

Update on going to the Candidates Debate. Mrs Robinson will expect attendance at the Beltana Bowls Club at 7.00pm on the 21.7.09.
Richard Herr will moderate.
So far there are three; Ms Heatley, Ms Soo and me.
To prevent any sense the debate is being manipulated by me I have asked Dr Herr, and he has agreed, to speak with any of the candidates who wish to speak with him about the form and content of the debate. I have made clear to Dr Herr that my role and that of my campaign helpers will be to facilitate what he requests. This means booking the venue, arranging sound, seating and web casting, and the like. If any other candidate would like to take part in the organisation of the debate we welcome their contact.
In an attempt to be tri partisan or beyond prominent Tasmanian ex or current political figures have been asked to be guest questioners and contribute to the debate. All their, and any questions from the public will be directed through Dr Herr to prevent any sense of partisanship. Dr Herr will invite the response of the candidates as he sees appropriate.
I hope to be able to advise the identity of those prominent persons tomorow.
The idea of a webcast of such a debate is novel and it is hoped all candidates will join with me in this attempt at opening the election to the public. Apart from the novelty the debate may be an invigorating and enjoyable and no doubt robust exchange to enliven a winter’s evening.
The facilities of the bowls club will be available.
I urge those candidates who are yet to accept to either contact Dr Herr to allay their concerns or advise of their attendance.
