Alarm at strategy

Several prominent Australian scientists have expressed alarm at the Commonwealth Government’s proposed new national biodiversity conservation strategy, due later this year.
The current draft, according to the scientists, is a step backwards, and will provide little effective protection for Australia’s biological diversity.
