THE Launceston City Council could be set to discuss potential amalgamations and opportunities for resource sharing with neighbouring councils. Ald. Graeme Beams this week said he intended to introduce a motion at the council’s May 18 meeting requesting a report into the possibility of talks with neighbouring councils on the matter. Read more here
