The 2009 GHD Tamar Silt Report
Geoff Smedley
Launceston’s dark times appear to continue as the serious flaws in administration are revealed in the usual mild way through the “Examiner’s” artical in regard to the release of yet another $425,000 uninspiring report that simply mouths the the council’s long held views that have today devastated the Tamar Basin.
Disgustingly this paper must be seen for what it is, a direct rewrite of old material without even a hint of any new or credible input, instead it could be said that this paper takes the issue at least a decade back in time while being is a disgrace to minds that proffer such a report, another blatent method used by the Launceston City Council as one of many means to stall on issues of importance now becomming a prime subject within their whole jurisdiction.
I would think in the coming serious times, infrastructual projects such as the Tamar issue and sewage upgrades would rate a little higher that football grounds and luxuriant swimming pools as would any conscientious and caring servant of the people.
