Planning system public forum sessions

Posted on

Jeremy Ball Launceston City Council Alderman
MINISTER David Llewellyn wrote to Aldermen on Friday to announce the Review of the Tasmanian Planning System public forum sessions would be held statewide in a matter of days. I moved an urgency motion for LCC to hold a special information session next Tuesday, April 7 at 7.30pm at Town Hall. If you care about Planning Schemes, the independence of Planning Tribunals and Commissions from government, PAL Policy and how the system governing decisions on our air, soil, water, development, natural resource management and little things like PULP MILLS(!) is run, PLEASE come along.

The consultation paper only came to me via Bill Harvey, Greens HCC Alderman, otherwise I wouldn’t have had the heads up to move the motion. Review of Planning System special public info session: Tuesday April 7 at Town Hall at 7.30pm email council@launceston.tas.gov.au for more details on this and all other forums.
