THE man Mr Coleman replaced, Terry Clarke, told the committee he was shocked Cabinet made the decision without first consulting the industry or doing a public benefits test. Mr Clarke claims the Government would have to spend $900 million over the next 20 years propping up the racing industry if it sells TOTE. Mr Clarke left TOTE a few years ago amid speculation that his relationship with the Racing Minister Michael Aird was strained. Read more here
