Just 20 minutes south of Traralgon on the Princes Highway is a scene which one firefighter describes as “Armageddon”. The small township of Callignee has been wiped out by fire; 12 people are known to have perished. Victoria Police have confirmed that the fire, which swept through a pine plantation and into the town, was deliberately lit on Saturday. Read more here
