Dr Colin Langridge
I object to the dumbing-down of our public art in this Neptune case. The level of sophistication employed in this design is quite low as it appears to present a well-worn Northern hemisphere reference to the sea via this Roman mythical figure. A more acceptable approach would have been to shortlist several established professional local artists to submit proposals for the site. Read more, Comment here
