Timber Communities Australia Executive Needs Cleaning Out
Independent Candidate for Lyons, Ben Quin, today called on the members of Timber Communities Australia to sack their Executive.
“The media advertisements sponsored by TCA against the Greens, especially those dealing with sexuality, are shocking. Will we soon be planning to tar and feather all who dissent with the TCA Executive’s narrow view of the future?
“I respect the right of any organization to promote their legitimate interests in an election campaign, but TCA has now gone beyond acceptable standards.
“I cannot believe that decent people, who make up the membership of TCA, are in support of this misguided campaign.”
“In particular, TCA Executive officer, Mr. Barry Chipman, needs to explain himself.”
“His lame reasoning when questioned by the media on the thrust of the campaign resonates with the “I was ordered to” defence used by the bullies of other regimes.”
“This is not a Tasmania I am willing to accept. I invite all candidates in this election, from whichever party, to join with me in condemning the TCA campaign and committing to our core social values of tolerance and non-discrimination.”
“The TCA Executives who authorised this campaign need to be cleaned out”
