The Cassy coup

Posted on

TERROR, sheer terror has entered the heart of the stumbling beast, the State Labor Party.

The wounded animal has stumbled, confused, into the river, bleeding. The crocs are circling.

The possibly fatal wound has been inflicted by today’s announcement that Cassy O’Connor, Ralphs Bay champion, former part-time staffer in Labor MHR Duncan Kerr’s office, will stand in Denison for the Greens.

Do not underestimate the significance of this announcement.

This is one formidable — and charming — lady. Think how she helped marshall and publicly front the campaign against that appalling Labor mates’ Ralphs Bay plan.

Hag would say her candidature is as significant as that of Christine Milne in the far-off Wesley Vale pulp mill days.

Think about it. Jim Bacon’s monster personal vote dragged in the Denison acolytes last time.

This time … well, who have they got with Jude outa there? Sturgo and Barto and a couple of of apparatchiks.

This is what Hag predicts for the greenest seat in Oz:

Two Greens: Putt and O’Connor.

Two Libs: Hodgman and Dixon.

A vicious fight for the fifth seat between the Labor mates.

The Hung Parliament (The Grand Coalition) is now more certain than ever!
