Troubled Spirit and The Truth

Posted on

HAG: THE shambolic disaster that is Spirit 3 is a direct re-run of the Richard Butler farce.

Make no mistake. Strategic leaking from within the heart of government is aimed at ridding Premier Lennon of another embarrassment imposed by former Premier Jim Bacon.

Think about it.

Spirit 3 running from Sydney was the brainchild of Jim Bacon. Just as Governor Richard Butler was his inspired choice.

Butler’s appointment turned into a disaster … inherited by new Premier Lennon. He was eventually shafted by leaks to media, which, Hag has always maintained, came right from the heart of government. Premier Lennon was seen to be the Strong Man stepping in to save The Good Name of Tasmania … albeit at a cost to the poor taxpayer of a few hundred thousand. But, hey, it’s only the people’s money.

Now we have the Bacon legacy of Spirit 3 which is turning into an even bigger financial disaster.

What to do?

Easy. Create a crisis of public confidence in the service. Blame the board. Just as Ken Bacon became an earlier convenient scapegoat. Watch out for the blame shifting onto the board.

Blame anyone but the real bearers of responsbility … the Bacon-Lennon governments.

I’d watch your back Dynamic Dennis.

So. The leaks will keep coming; the disaster will keep mounting and then the Strong Man will step in to save the day with a firesale of Spot 3.

This will, of course, save The Good Name of Tasmania.

As a good Catholic, Premier Lennon, after all these inspired sacts of salvationary activity, must soon be in line for beatification.

One thing is certain: He and his government will continue to avoid facing one thing: The Truth.
