The North East Tasmania Bakhap Award for Sculpture 2017-18

The North East Tasmania Bakhap Award for Sculpture 2017-18 will be officially launched at 4:30pm this Wednesday, 22 November, at Bridestowe Lavender Estate.

The Bakhap Award is a $10,000 acquisitive prize for sculpture sponsored by Bridestowe Lavender Estate and presented by the James Scott Decorative Arts Society based in Scottsdale.

Entries from both experienced and budding artists from the region as well as across the state and further afield are encouraged.

The winning sculpture will be permanently displayed in the grounds of Bridestowe Lavender Estate and finalists’ work will be exhibited in the form of maquettes (small scale replicas of the actual work) between May and July.
