Congratulations to McVilly Café and Cycles, one of the latest businesses to join Tasmania’s growing economy and cycling sector.
Named in memory of Tasmanian Sporting hall of famer and Australian cycling legend, Graham McVilly, this new enterprise incorporates a café with bike sales, hire and repair facility.
There is significant growth in the number of tourists who are taking part in cycling activities, and more Tasmanians are also now getting onto a bike more often.
It’s why we have developed a Cycling Tourism Strategy, with a $6 million fund to develop infrastructure, lead business and community development and to build Tasmania’s reputation as one of the world’s best cycling destinations.
McVilly Café and Cycles is an exciting new part of Tasmania’s booming visitor economy, and we wish them every success.
